Job summary

Kroger is seeking a store associate to create an outstanding customer experience in a fast-paced environment. You will greet customers, process transactions at the checkout, and handle various payment methods following company policy.

Maintain safe, clean conditions and assist with product questions to ensure customer satisfaction. The role requires basic math skills, the ability to stay calm under pressure, and prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage, and assist customers.
• Process customer transactions at the check lane quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand the POS system and handle tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons) according to policy.
• Follow loss prevention guidelines and report pricing discrepancies.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety programs.
• Create a welcoming environment and help customers with product questions.
