Job summary

Kroger is seeking a part-time cashier/checker to deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced store environment. You will greet customers, process transactions at the checkout, and ensure accuracy and compliance with all store policies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the check lane.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• Understand POS system and handle cash, checks, credit and other tenders per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines.
• Comply with guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and follow coupons and loyalty procedures.
• Stay informed about current ads and promotions.
• Follow food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Ensure a welcoming environment and assist customers with product questions.
