Job summary

Kroger is seeking a courteous cashier/courtesy clerk to create outstanding customer experiences in a fast-paced grocery setting. You will greet customers, assist with inquiries, and process transactions efficiently using the POS system while following company policies.

Maintain a safe, clean environment and support loss prevention efforts as needed. Ideal candidates have basic math skills and prior retail cashier or bagger experience.

Qualifications

• Math skills including counting, addition, and subtraction are required.
• Prior experience as a cashier, bagger, or courtesy clerk is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage, and assist customers in a welcoming manner.
• Process transactions accurately and quickly at the checkout.
• Operate the POS system and handle cash, checks, debit/credit, and loyalty offers according to policy.
