Job summary

CLEAResult is seeking a Commercial Field Specialist to expand relationships, drive program participation, and improve energy savings across Washington DC, Richmond, and Virginia Beach. You will serve as the local on-site advocate, educate customers, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver results in a dynamic field-based role.

You will build trust with clients, manage accounts, present strategic proposals, and document activities while traveling within an assigned territory.

  • 4-6 years in account management or customer engagement in energy-related fields.

Successful candidate will be located in Washington DC, Richmond, or Virginia Beach. Join Our Team as a Commercial Field Specialist. Are you a relationship-driven professional who thrives on helping customers succeed? We’re looking for a proactive, results-oriented Commercial Field Specialist to serve as a trusted advisor to our clients while driving program participation, energy savings, and long-term customer satisfaction. In this role, you'll build and strengthen relationships across local, regional, and national markets, act as the primary point of contact for customers and contractors and collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional service and program results. What You'll Do
  • Build, maintain, and grow relationships with customers, contractors, and stakeholders within your assigned territory.
  • Manage existing accounts while identifying opportunities to develop new business and increase program participation.
  • Serve as the local, on-site representative for the program and company, educating customers and overcoming barriers to participation.
  • Prepare and present proposals that align with customer needs and program objectives.
  • Track and document customer interactions, project updates, and program activities in accordance with company and program requirements.
  • Verify product installations and ensure all required documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Collaborate with engineering and programming teams to understand current and future technical requirements and program updates.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, identify solutions, and recommend improvements based on customer and program needs.
  • Travel throughout an assigned territory to support customers and program goals.

Qualifications
  • 4-6 years of relevant industry experience in account management, customer engagement, energy efficiency, utility programs, technical sales, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Commercial energy industry experience is a strong plus but not required.
  • We welcome candidates with transferable account management, technical, or customer-facing experience from related industries.
Compensation

Compensation $57,000- $68,000 based on experience

This is a safety-sensitive position and may include field work (such as work in industrial/commercial locations and customer homes), warehouse work, or requires driving on behalf of the company.

Individuals provided a conditional offer of employment for this position must successfully pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test and consent to the company obtaining a motor vehicle report evidencing a satisfactory driving record. Applicants for driving positions must hold a valid driver's license, and individuals provided a conditional offer of employment must successfully pass a drug test and maintain a clean driving record as an ongoing requirement for continued employment.

DOT Requirements

If applicable, meet all DOT qualification requirements and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations.

Compensation Range

Compensation Range $55,700.00 - $83,500.00 Currency USD Type Salary Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.
