Job summary

First Bank is seeking a Personal Banker to assist customers in a dual role, delivering an exceptional in-branch experience through teller transactions, sales and service. You will use a needs-based approach to offer solutions and refer customers to other lines of business to meet financial needs.

Work with the branch team to achieve sales and service goals, maintain confidentiality, follow security procedures, and handle follow-ups with prospects and existing customers. Saturdays required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years of related experience in financial services.
• Basic knowledge of retail product philosophy, policy, procedures, documentation and systems.
• Thorough knowledge of all retail products and services.
• Proven customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Effective selling and referral skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Personal Bankers are responsible for offering and selling bank products and services to both consumer and small business customers, including Checking and Savings Accounts, CDs, and IRAs.
• Operates a teller window regularly to meet branch needs.
• Provides exceptional customer service while identifying sales opportunities and promoting bank products/services.
• Use sales skills such as listening, identifying needs, expanding relationships, and presenting solutions.
• Follow up with prospects and customers to promote new products/services and to thank existing customers.
• Engage with valued customer relationships to promote growth and retention.
• Maintain confidentiality in handling customer and bank information.
• Follow security policies to prevent losses.
• Resolve customer complaints and escalate appropriately.
• Maintain knowledge on retail products and services.
• Collaborate with branch team to achieve sales and service objectives.
