Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear Hazard, KY is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations, merchandising, scheduling, and achieving store goals.

This role requires retail experience, strong customer service, teamwork and leadership to act in the Store Manager’s absence and help drive sales and service. The position is hourly and non-exempt, with compensation around $12.65 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Run store in Store Manager’s absence and help establish action plans to meet goals.
• Provide extraordinary customer service and promote services/merchandise; uphold all store policies.
• Protect company assets and ensure internal controls; communicate potential fraud risk to management.
