Job summary

Michaels is hiring in NYC for a Store Associate to deliver friendly customer service, help shoppers locate products, and ensure a fast checkout experience.

You will unload trucks, stock merchandise, maintain planograms, participate in BOPIS and SFS processes, and support store recovery to keep the floors well-merchandised and in stock. The role requires standing and light lifting in a climate-controlled retail environment.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Able to stand for long periods and move around the store.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide a fast, friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards enrollments.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Maintain merchandise recovery and stock levels; complete return/go-back processes.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to SOPs and Company policies; model a positive image for team members.
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
