Job summary

The Kroger family of companies in Woods Cross, UT is seeking a personable Cashier/Checker to provide outstanding customer service at the front lanes. You will greet customers, process transactions accurately, and help them find products while adhering to store policies.

You will work with the POS system, manage various tender types, and support loss prevention and safety guidelines to ensure a positive shopping experience for every guest.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers in the store.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently at the check lane.
• Understand POS system and handle tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons) per company policy.
• Adhere to policies on cash handling, shortages/overages and loss prevention.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and follow posted policies for stamps, gift cards and coupons.
