Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies in Boulder, CO is seeking a Cashier/Checker to greet customers, process transactions at the check lane quickly and accurately, and provide proactive service in a fast-paced environment.

You will handle cash, checks, credit, debit and other tenders, follow loss-prevention policies, and follow guidelines for restricted sale items while supporting promotions and coupons. A welcoming, helpful shopping experience is the goal.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers.
• Process transactions quickly and accurately.
• Handle tender types (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, etc.).
• Follow cash-handling and loss-prevention policies.
• Adhere to guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and follow policies for stamps, gift cards, coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety programs.
• Maintain a welcoming environment and answer product questions.
