Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is hiring for a Store Customer Service role (Cashier/Checker) in a fast-paced environment. You will greet customers, perform transactions at the check lane, and uphold company policies while ensuring a welcoming store atmosphere.

Responsibilities include operating the POS system, handling multiple tender types, adhering to safety guidelines, and staying updated on current promotions. This role supports community customers in a high-volume setting.

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the check lane.
• Process transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Operate POS system and handle cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, WIC and coupons according to policy.
• Adhere to cash handling, loss prevention and restricted sale item guidelines (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Ensure food safety regulations are followed and safety procedures are observed.
• Provide friendly service to create a welcoming environment for customers.
