Responsibilities

• Cashier/Checker is responsible for being visible and actively greeting, engaging and assisting customers.
• Cashiers process customer transactions through the check lane quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Checkers understand the POS system and handle tenders such as Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons and loyalty offers according to policy.
• Checker adheres to cash handling limits and loss prevention policies.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies and stay current with store ads and promotions.
• Adhere to safety regulations and report safety issues promptly.
• Provide friendly, informative assistance to customers and maintain a welcoming environment.
