Job summary

Columbia Bank is seeking a friendly Teller at our Gooding, ID branch to handle deposits, withdrawals, payments, transfers, check cashing, and cash drawer balancing with accuracy and confidentiality. You will follow procedures to ensure compliance and manage risk during daily transactions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 year of previous banking or customer service experience preferred
• Bilingual preferred
• Ability to learn and comply with all Bank policies, procedures, and systems
• Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and accuracy with written numbers, words, and verbal and written instructions
• Consistently demonstrates ability and willingness to build relationships with clients and other bank associates

Responsibilities

• Always performs teller transactions and cash handling functions for clients with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Mitigate risk by ensuring safekeeping of money in cash drawer and prompt accounting or transfer of funds.
• Interacts with clients, anticipates needs, and provides proactive solutions and problem resolutions.
• Continuously deepens knowledge of Columbia Bank’s product and service offerings.
• Discuss and uncover customer’s financial needs to identify and offer appropriate products and services.
• Supports referral goals for branch by focusing on and referring basic bank products to the appropriate business partner.
