Job summary

Columbia Bank is hiring a Teller in Meridian, ID to be the first point of contact for clients. You will perform teller transactions, balance cash, and ensure accuracy and confidentiality in line with bank procedures.

You will deepen client relationships by understanding needs and recommending suitable products. The role emphasizes risk mitigation, compliance with policies, and ongoing knowledge of bank offerings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of banking or customer service experience preferred.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Ability to learn and comply with bank policies and systems.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy with numbers and instructions.
• Ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Always performs teller transactions and cash handling functions for clients with accuracy and confidentiality (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, check cashing, etc.).
• Balance cash drawer and balance ATM, and process night drop deposits.
• Mitigate risk by safekeeping money and prompt accounting or transfer of funds.
• Interact with clients to identify needs and offer appropriate banking products and services.
• Support branch referral goals by identifying and referring products to the right partners.
• Maintain knowledge of Columbia Bank products and stay current on changes.
