Job summary

Mcnaughton-mckay Electric Co is seeking a Customer Account Specialist to serve as the primary contact for external and internal customers, including outside sales. You will ensure the right products are selected, ordered, and delivered to meet customers’ business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma required.
• High degree of knowledge of electrical distribution operations or similar product knowledge; 2+ years in related roles preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to organize and prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manages customer orders, changes, and cancellations via phone, fax, or other electronic communication.
• Negotiates pricing, delivery terms, and shipping instructions to satisfy the customer and maximize margins.
• Coordinates with purchasing to ensure product availability and timely delivery.
• Provides product and technical support, tracking shipments and expediting as needed.
• Acts as main contact between customer and internal departments to ensure satisfaction.
• Identifies upsell opportunities and suggests alternatives when requested products are unavailable.
