Job summary

Fort Bend County is seeking a dedicated cleaning staff member to join our facilities team. You will mop, disinfect and maintain restroom areas, floors, windows, and general spaces across county offices.

Qualifications

• Less than High School Diploma or GED.
• 6 months job-related experience.
• Knowledge of cleaning processes and ability to complete tasks in time.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Mops, cleans and disinfects restroom facilities within county, including walls, floors, doors and fixtures.
• Removes trash from waste containers and replaces liners in containers.
• Restocks supplies in restrooms.
• Cleans windows and glass surfaces.
• Sweeps, strips, and waxes floors.
• Dusts exposed areas on office furnishings and fixtures.
• Vacuums, cleans and maintains floor coverings and upholstered furniture.
• Participates in emergency management duties during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
