Part‑time Responsibilities
  • Prepare the building and grounds for functions at the fairgrounds.
  • Clean the buildings: sweep and scrub floors, wipe tables and chairs, clean restrooms and kitchens.
  • Clean outdoor restrooms and make necessary repairs.
  • Operate tractor and forklift.
  • Mow grass and weed-eat.
  • Repair equipment as necessary.
  • Pick up trash from parking lot and grounds.
  • Open and close buildings during weekend duty.
  • Paint and repair woodwork and plaster.
  • Set up and operate machine tools to repair or fabricate parts.
  • Maintain arena area as required or requested by the Fair Association.
  • Keep records and submit reports of repairs completed.
  • Participate in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 6 months of job‑related experience.
  • Basic skills in operating lawn and building‑care equipment.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with other employees and the public.
  • Ability to carry out detailed verbal and written instructions; complete printed forms and make notes.
  • Perform routine mathematical calculations.
Salary

Range: $16.02 per hour (min) – $24.03 per hour (max). Closing date: upon filling the position.
