Position at SBM Management

SBM Management is looking for a new Custodian/CSR to help them shine! We are searching for hardworking dependable individuals to join the team as our company continues to grow. We have an immediate opening for a custodian that wants to deliver exceptional customer satisfaction. The ideal custodial member should have strong customer service skills and work well with others. The CSR should understand and follow explicit instructions, both oral and written, and be able to communicate effectively. Good judgment and the ability to explain work methods are essential. The role may also involve training others and demonstrating work processes.

Responsibilities

1. Floor care (vacuuming, mopping, carpet spotting)
2. Surface care (dusting, sanitizing, cleaning glass/mirrors, polishing metals/woods, cleaning blinds and draperies)
3. Waste removal (emptying trash and recycling bins, transporting waste to disposal areas)
4. Light maintenance (replacing bulbs, restocking supplies)
5. Following safety rules, policies, and procedures
6. Responding to supervision and taking direction
7. Using proper personal protective equipment
8. Maintaining a professional appearance and conduct
9. Understanding reporting systems and environment
10. Transporting equipment, cleaning common areas, and assisting with restocking and cleaning tasks

Qualifications

1. Reliable transportation
2. Less than high school education or up to one month of related experience/training, or equivalent
3. Ability to read 2-3 syllable words and recognize similarities/differences in words and numbers
4. Clear printing and simple sentence communication
5. Effective communication skills with co-workers, supervisors, and customers
6. Basic math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing)
7. Knowledge of American measures (money, weight, size, length, volume)
8. Valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle registration and insurance if driving
9. Bilingual skills are a plus but not required

Compensation

$18.00-$19.00 per hour

Shifts

Monday-Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm
