Moreland Elementary serves Preschool-8th grade students across three cities in Santa Clara County. Our teachers educate approximately 3,800 students in four elementary schools, two TK-8 schools, and one middle school. Teachers receive regular preparation, collaboration, and professional development time, supporting students' academic, social, and emotional growth.

Job Summary

Perform general cleaning and custodial functions at an assigned school or district site; other related duties as assigned.

Employment Standards

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. All individuals must pass a pre-employment physical examination and fingerprint screening. The knowledge and skill requirements include:

• Knowledge of cleaning methods, chemicals, tools, and equipment; safe use and operation.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment, work safely around children, follow instructions, organize workload, and establish effective work relationships.

Physical requirements include vision, hearing, speech, stamina, mobility, manual dexterity, and strength to perform heavy physical labor and operate equipment.

Additional Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent preferred.
• Experience as a custodian is preferred.
• Must pass fingerprint screening and a TB test.
• Work hours are typically 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
• Must provide 2 letters of recommendation.
