Salary Range: $20.28 - $20.68 Hourly

Description

Position Summary

Under direct supervision, the Custodian will provide janitorial services and light maintenance at the main location. Responsibilities include cleaning, sanitizing, maintaining safety, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The Custodian will also handle opening and closing procedures and perform specific tasks as required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as a role model, adhere to dress code, and conduct professionally.
  • Be sensitive to cultural differences among staff and participants.
  • Participate in training and workshops for professional growth.
  • Represent the organization positively and adhere to mission and policies.
  • Maintain and repair building interiors, exteriors, and grounds to ensure safety and a welcoming environment.
  • Conduct daily facility checks and report issues.
  • Work off an automated work order system.
  • Clean and sanitize all areas daily, including deep cleaning tasks as scheduled.
  • Perform light maintenance and repairs, such as carpentry, painting, and fixing leaks.
  • Manage waste disposal and trash removal.
  • Assist vendors and report issues as needed.
  • Ensure doors are locked after cleaning and move furniture as required.
  • Perform snow removal and salting when necessary.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and recommend orders.
  • Care for equipment and promote safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or equivalent preferred.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Bilingual in Spanish required.

Additional Requirements:

  • Knowledge of janitorial equipment and proper operation.
  • Familiarity with electrical tools and manual hand tools.
  • Ability to climb ladders/stairs and handle/lift items.
  • Ability to work around diverse populations, including children and community members.
  • Understanding of safety procedures.
