Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Baton Rouge, LA is hiring a Custodian to maintain cleanliness and support daily operations. The role supports the Executive Director with routine duties, checklists, and reporting on activities to ensure a clean, well-functioning facility.

No formal education is required; 2+ years of related experience preferred. Sobriety a plus. Excellent communication, time management, and attention to detail are essential as you contribute to a reliable, respectful team environment.

• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and time management skills.

• Dignified, honest character which models recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and smooth function of property and plant.
• Perform routine custodial duties such as cleaning, restocking, removing garbage etc.
• Provide consistent operational support as required by the Executive Director.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists to ensure cleanliness and upkeep of facility.
• Report on all activities completed, escalating any concerns to the Executive Director.

What You'll Do

• Maintain the cleanliness and smooth function of property and plant
