Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in South Bend, Indiana is hiring a Housekeeping Aide to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our treatment facility. You will perform daily custodial tasks and assist with facility upkeep as directed by leadership.

No formal education is required, but two years of related experience is preferred. A strong emphasis on communication, reliability, and attention to detail helps us support our patients’ recovery journey and maintain high standards of care.

Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• Minimum of two years' related experience preferred.
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and time management skills.
• Strong responsibility and attention to detail.
• Dignified, honest character which models recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and smooth function of property and plant.
• Perform routine custodial duties such as cleaning, restocking, removing garbage etc.
• Provide consistent operational support as required by the Executive Director
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists to ensure cleanliness and upkeep of facility
• Report on all activities completed, escalating any concerns to the Executive Director

What You'll Do
