Job summary

Dallas City Hall is seeking a Custodial Supervisor to lead custodial services across city facilities. You will supervise staff, manage budgets, and ensure safe, clean spaces while coordinating with multiple departments.

Strong leadership and experience in facilities maintenance are required. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a relevant background in building maintenance, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 4 years of facilities maintenance or building trades experience.
  • 2 years of supervisory or lead work responsibilities.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Must obtain CJIS certification within probationary period.
  • No felonies or disqualifying offences; no family violence; no deferred adjudication for felonies.
  • Willingness to respond to 24-hour emergency calls.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises custodial staff and assigns work; manages schedules and performance.
  • Recruit, hire, train, evaluate, and payroll-related duties; handle personnel issues.
  • Oversees budgets, expenses, and revenue; tracks cost and material estimates.
  • Manages custodial equipment, tools, and inventory; ensures availability of proper equipment.
  • Provides quality customer service and resolves issues with staff and city departments.
  • Leads special projects/events; sets up and prepares spaces for use.
  • Performs related trades work as needed.
