Job summary

The City of Laredo is seeking a Custodial Supervisor to oversee custodial staff, schedule shifts, and inspect facilities to ensure cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities include directing staff, coordinating building maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety standards (OSHA, EPA), and maintaining records and inventories. Strong leadership and a valid Texas driver license are desirable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Five (5) years of experience in facilities maintenance or related field preferred.
• Ability to supervise and evaluate staff and manage schedules.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, directs, and evaluates custodial staff; hires, terminates, and disciplines as needed.
• Plans and monitors building maintenance and custodial services; oversees repairs and inspections.
• Coordinates with other departments and outside contractors; ensures compliance with standards.
• Maintains equipment, manuals, logs, and preventive maintenance histories.
• Ensures safety programs and OSHA/EPA/MSDS requirements are followed.
