Job summary

The City of Dallas is seeking a Facilities Supervisor to oversee maintenance, repairs, and capital projects across city facilities. You will supervise trades, monitor HVAC and electrical systems, and ensure safety and quality in daily operations.

This role requires six years in facilities maintenance with two years in a leadership role, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license. You’ll coordinate projects, provide on-the-job training, handle budgeting tasks, and communicate

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six (6) years of experience in facilities maintenance, which includes plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, or custodial.
• Two (2) years of supervisory or lead work responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance and care of City facilities, including HVAC and electrical systems.
• Coordinate projects and bond improvements; monitor contracts and capital projects.
• Provide on-the-job training and supervise staff; assist with timekeeping.
• Handle clerical duties: records, bids, budgets, schedules.
• Attend meetings; communicate with facilities staff on issues.
• Deliver quality customer service and handle difficult projects professionally.
• Perform other duties as needed.
