Job summary

Performance Contracting Group in Lenexa, KS seeks a Curriculum Development Specialist to research, develop, and produce learning programs aligned with PCG objectives, partnering with event owners to deliver instructor-led and online education for employees. The role develops courseware, leader guides, and assessments, manages end-to-end projects, and ensures content quality.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience with editing, technical writing, design, and development of instructional material.
  • At least 3 years of experience in courseware and/or technical documentation development and design.
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design, project management, curriculum development, or a related field.
  • Exhibits a high level of emotional intelligence, maintaining the ability to give and receive specific, constructive feedback.
  • Strong project management skills; planning, managing, prioritizing and scheduling projects with minimal supervision.
  • Displays experience managing a course development project from end to end.
  • Demonstrates the ability to effectively collaborate and consult with senior leaders, business partners, internal customers, and colleagues.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Suite.
  • Demonstrated administrative experience in learning management systems.
  • Technically inclined and able to adapt to new technologies with ease.
  • Experience working with appropriate development technologies (Adobe, Articulate Storyline, Rise, Camtasia Studio, or similar).
  • Strong and effective communicator with strong verbal, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • Willing to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify training needs and develop engaging content.
  • Assess business situations and develop goals and training strategies to improve results.
  • Responsible for the content development of formal training workshops and job aids.
  • Develop and implement curriculum strategies to meet educational goals.
  • Proofread and edit educational materials for accuracy and coherence.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure curriculum alignment.
  • Educate staff on new curriculum developments and best practices.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness, engagement, and alignment through assessments and observations.
  • Oversee content development processes from inception to completion, with strong project management.
  • Develop learning solutions including session materials, courseware, leader guides, reinforcements, and assessments.
  • Engage learners with content that conveys concepts clearly and memorably.
  • Logically organize and transform complex information into professional learning programs.
