Job summary

American Senior Communities is seeking a Cook at Springhill Village in Terre Haute, IN. You will prepare nutritious meals, follow standardized menus, and supervise kitchen tasks to ensure safety and quality for residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 years related experience.
• Preferred: Certification in Sanitation/Safe Food Handling, unless required by State and Federal agencies.
• Preferred: Prior Institutional and/or Healthcare service experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and prepare food that meets residents’ nutritional needs.
• Prepare meals in quantities, attractive and nutritionally adequate.
• Lead kitchen staff with food preparation, assembling trays, cleaning, and storage of supplies and equipment.
• Maintain a clean food service work area during preparation and service.
• Handle, store, and dispose of food according to procedures and regulations.
