Job summary

American Senior Communities is seeking a friendly and dependable Cook for Springhill Village in Terre Haute, Indiana. You will prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents, follow approved recipes, and help maintain high sanitation standards in a healthcare kitchen.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required or 1–3 years related experience or equivalent.
• Sanitation/Safe Food Handling certification preferred.
• Prior institutional/healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and prepares food that meets residents' nutritional needs.
• Cooks or prepares palatable, nutritious meals in required quantities.
• Leads kitchen staff with food prep, tray assembly, cleaning and storage of supplies/equipment.
• Maintains a clean food service work area during prep and service.
• Handles, stores, and disposes of food per procedures and regulatory requirements.
