Job summary

HHS is seeking a Culinary Supervisor to join the hospital team at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. You will support the culinary director, supervise the food and nutrition team, and ensure meals meet orders and dietary needs while delivering courteous service to patients and staff.

Responsibilities include leading shifts, overseeing patient meals, maintaining safety standards, and collaborating with management to run the department efficiently. Flexible day/evening/night shifts are available.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years old.
• Maintain good personal hygiene and neat uniform.
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team.
• Preferred: 6+ months of supervisor experience in culinary/foodservice/healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Lead the food and nutrition team in a hospital setting.
• Ensure patient meals are accurate and delivered on time.
• Supervise dining operations for doctors, staff and patients.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, staff and visitors.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures.

We're looking for friendly, compassionate, team players to join our culinary team! Support the culinary director to lead the food and nutrition team at a hospital. Ensure patient meals are accurate and are delivered in a timely fashion. Provide excellent customer service to ensure every patient is satisfied with their meal.

Responsibilities

• Culinary Supervisor
• Wage: $17.50/hour
• Full-time and part-time positions available
• Day/Evening/Night shifts available
• Background check, drug screen, and proof of employment eligibility required
• Location: Lake Charles Memorial Hospital
• Supervisor team members to ensure smooth operations of the criteria, doctor's dining, catering, and/or patient meals
• Ensure each patient receives an accurate meal that matches their order and diet requirements
• Provide excellent customer service for all patients, staff, and visitors
• Adhere to the facility's health and safety policies and procedures
• Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years old
• Must practice good personal hygiene and be neatly groomed in a uniform
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment
• Preferred: 6+ months of supervisor experience ( cook, line cook, commercial kitchen, fast food, culinary operations, restaurants, supervisor, dietary department, foodservice, hourly manager, healthcare )

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged standing and walking continuously, frequent stooping, and bending and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
