Job summary

Willow Valley Communities is seeking a Culinary Services Supervisor to lead the Culinary Services team and uphold outstanding dining experiences for Residents and Guests across multiple venues. The role emphasizes leadership, food quality, and customer service in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

You will oversee dining operations, coordinate staff, ensure safety and compliance, and contribute to special events while maintaining accurate records and budgeting alignment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or
• An equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership across Culinary Services operations
• Oversee dining room, dish room, and kitchen operations
• Ensure prompt, courteous service for Residents and Guests
• Coordinate team activities and assignments
• Address resident concerns and resolve service issues
• Assist with special events and daily operations planning
• Ensure compliance with Culinary Services policies and procedures
• Maintain records (meal counts, charges, activity reports, food safety docs)
• Schedule staff to meet operational and budget needs
• Train team to uphold Willow Valley service and quality standards
• Follow HACCP plan and food safety policies
• Use computer programs to complete reports and communications
• Support purchasing activities including ordering food and supplies and inventory oversight

Compensation

Starting at $23.00/hour, with additional compensation based on experience.

What You'll Do

As a Culinary Services Supervisor, you will provide leadership and operational support throughout Culinary Services. Responsibilities may include oversight of dining room, dish room, and kitchen operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing supervision and leadership support across Culinary Services operations
• Ensuring prompt, courteous service for Residents and Guests in accordance with Willow Valley standards
• Coordinating team member activities and work assignments, while maintaining the ability to step into operational roles as needed
• Addressing resident concerns and resolving service-related issues
• Assisting with the coordination and planning of special functions and events, in addition to daily operations
• Overseeing compliance with Culinary Services policies and procedures and recommending improvements when appropriate
• Maintaining records including meal counts, charges, daily activity reports, and food safety documentation
• Scheduling team members to align with operational needs and budget requirements while maintaining timekeeping records
• Inspecting dining rooms and service stations to ensure cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards are met
• Managing requisitions for table linens and dining room supplies
• Conducting team meetings and communicating important operational information
• Training team members to ensure Willow Valley service and quality standards are consistently achieved
• Following Willow Valley's HACCP plan and Food Safety policies and procedures
• Using computer programs to complete reports and communications
• Supporting purchasing activities, including ordering food and supplies, inventory oversight, data entry, receiving, and storage procedures when assigned

What We\'re Looking For

• Associate\'s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school;

Schedule & Hours

Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday
• 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM
• 11:00 AM - Close, Every Other Weekend + Every Other Holiday
