The Waterford at Corpus Christi is seeking a dedicated Culinary Services Cook to prepare and serve meals for residents in a supportive, resident-focused community in Corpus Christi, TX. You will work with a team to deliver nutritious, attractive meals while maintaining high sanitation and service standards.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Food Service Sanitation Certificate per local requirements.
• Experience with volume meal prep and serving for large groups.
• Supervisory experience preferred; ability to read recipes and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and serve meals in a clean, organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assist the Culinary Services Director in maintaining an efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepare and serve meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintain dining room and kitchen standards for service and cleanliness.
• Clean after preparation and service; clean work areas and equipment.
• Ensure leftovers are labeled, dated, and stored properly.

Culinary Services CookResponsibilities include:

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining a well-organized and efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains standards for dining services to the Residents to include efficient meal service delivery, customer service and cleanliness of the dining room and kitchen.
• Clean after preparation and service; work area, pots and equipment.
• Ensures all leftovers are covered, labeled, dated and stored in the proper place.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must possess Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• High Experience and/or knowledge of volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.
• Some supervisory experience preferred. Ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks at one time and communicate effectively verbally and/or in writing
