Job summary

The Waterford at Fairfield, a Sonida Senior Living community in Fairfield, OH, is seeking a Culinary Services Cook to plan, prepare, and serve meals for residents. You will assist the Culinary Services Director in maintaining an organized dining operation and ensuring high food quality and sanitation standards.

Qualifications include a high school diploma (or equivalent) and a Food Service Sanitation Certificate.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must possess Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• Experience with volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.
• Some supervisory experience preferred. Ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining a well-organized and efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains standards for dining services to Residents including meal service, customer service, and cleanliness of the dining room and kitchen.
• Cleans after preparation and service; maintains work area, pots and equipment.
• Ensures leftovers are covered, labeled, dated, and stored properly.
