Job summary

The Waterford at College Station, a Sonida Senior Living community, is seeking a Culinary Services Cook. You will plan, prepare, and serve meals for residents in an assisted living and memory care setting, following safety and sanitary standards.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, food safety certification, and experience with large-volume meal prep. Supervisory skills and teamwork are valued. Excellent communication is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must possess Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• Experience with volume meal preparation for large groups.
• Some supervisory experience preferred; ability to read recipes, work in a team, flexible shifts, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, and serves meals in a sanitary manner.
• Assists Dining Services Director to maintain efficient department.
• Prepares meals for assigned shifts and maintains service standards.
• Ensures leftovers are labeled, dated and stored properly.
• Keeps dining room and kitchen clean and organized.

Culinary Services CookResponsibilities include:

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining a well-organized and efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains standards for dining services to the Residents to include efficient meal service delivery, customer service and cleanliness of the dining room and kitchen.
• Clean after preparation and service; work area, pots and equipment.
• Ensures all leftovers are covered, labeled, dated and stored in the proper place.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must possess Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• High Experience and/or knowledge of volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.
• Some supervisory experience preferred. Ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks at one time and communicate effectively verbally and/or in writing
