North Pointe, a Sonida Senior Living community in Anderson, SC, invites you to join our Culinary Services team as a Cook. You will plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals, assist the Culinary Services Director, and help maintain a clean, efficient dining operation.

We value teamwork, the ability to read recipes, and flexibility to handle multiple tasks. A High School diploma and Food Service Sanitation Certificate are required, with opportunity for growth within the community.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• Experience with volume meal preparation for large groups is a plus.
• Some supervisory experience preferred; ability to read recipes, work in a team, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining an efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains dining service standards for residents, including service delivery and cleanliness.
• Cleans after preparation and service; maintains work areas and equipment.
• Ensures leftovers are labeled, dated, and stored properly.

Culinary Services Cook Responsibilities Include

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining a well-organized and efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains standards for dining services to the Residents to include efficient meal service delivery, customer service and cleanliness of the dining room and kitchen.
• Clean after preparation and service; work area, pots and equipment.
• Ensures all leftovers are covered, labeled, dated and stored in the proper place.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must possess Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• High Experience and/or knowledge of volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.
• Some supervisory experience preferred. Ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks at one time and communicate effectively verbally and/or in writing
