Job summary

Keystone Woods, a Sonida Senior Living community in Anderson, IN, is seeking a Culinary Services Cook. You will plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals, assist the Culinary Services Director, and maintain high dining standards for residents.

Responsibilities include timely meal service, cleanliness, and proper handling of leftovers. Eligibility includes a High School diploma and a Food Service Sanitation Certificate, with opportunities for supervisory growth and flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Food Service Sanitation Certificate per State/Local requirements.
• Experience with volume meal preparation for large groups.
• Some supervisory experience preferred; ability to read/understand recipes, work in a team, flexible shifts, multitask, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining an organized Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains standards for dining services to Residents including service delivery and cleanliness.
• Clean after preparation and service; maintain work area and equipment.
• Ensures leftovers are labeled, dated, and stored properly.

Culinary Services Cook Responsibilities Include

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.
• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining a well-organized and efficient Dining Services department.
• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.
• Maintains standards for dining services to the Residents to include efficient meal service delivery, customer service and cleanliness of the dining room and kitchen.
• Clean after preparation and service; work area, pots and equipment.
• Ensures all leftovers are covered, labeled, dated and stored in the proper place.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Must possess Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
• High Experience and/or knowledge of volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.
• Some supervisory experience preferred. Ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks at one time and communicate effectiveyl verbally and/or in writing
