Job summary

Margaritaville Casino Resort Bossier City is seeking a culinary team member to uphold guest satisfaction standards in a fast-paced kitchen. You will assist in food production, maintain sanitation, and support the Sous Chef with daily operations.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, English proficiency, and six months of culinary experience. Weekend and holiday work may be required; reliability and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least six months culinary experience or culinary degree.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Sanitation Certificate preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Margaritaville Casino Resort Bossier City Guest Satisfaction Standards for all guests and employees.
• Attend departmental orientation before starting in the department.
• Create a positive guest and employee experience; be helpful and friendly.
• Answer questions, take responsibility to get answers, and anticipate guests’ needs.
• Assist with food production as directed by the Sous Chef; follow production sheets.
• Maintain a clean as you go ethic; wear appropriate uniform and use gloves.
• Prepare proper amounts of food as requested by the Sous Chef.
• Conduct yourself professionally at all times.
• Coordinate with Stewards on equipment cleaning needs.
• Handle special requests from the Sous Chef.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain equipment integrity.
• Maintain Margaritaville’s food quality specifications per recipes.
• Minimize waste by efficient production and use of returned food.
• Keep immediate work area and walk-in cooler clean.
• Complete Serv-Safe training if offered.
• Cut, dice and chop food items as required.
• Follow recipes and plating guides unless guest requests deviation.
• Portion control using scales and measuring tools.

Education
