Job summary

Foundry Commercial is seeking a Dining Services Director to lead our dining program with a strong emphasis on residents’ daily experience. This role blends culinary excellence with team development and strategic operations.

You will oversee menu planning, food preparation, sanitation, budgeting, and service delivery, while staying hands-on in the kitchen when needed. The goal is to make dining a highlight of residents’ days and events.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years of hands-on cooking and menu planning experience.
• Food Manager Certification is required or obtainable within 30 days of hire.
• Strong kitchen operations knowledge and use of common equipment.
• Proven management or supervisory experience and ability to lead a dining team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Dining Services team in a positive, accountable environment.
• Remain hands-on in daily operations and assist in kitchen prep and service when needed.
• Ensure meals follow approved menus/recipes with quality, nutrition, flavor and presentation.
• Create a welcoming, resident-focused dining experience beyond standard meal service.
• Oversee food ordering, inventory, budgeting, and waste control within operational needs.
