Job summary

Foundry Commercial is seeking a Dining Services Director to lead the Dining Services (DS) department, oversee staffing, ordering, menu planning, and sanitation, ensuring meals are nutritious and appealing for residents.

Responsibilities include supervising DS staff, payroll coordination, and maintaining equipment and safety standards while engaging with residents and the broader community.

Qualifications

• Minimum four (4) years hands-on cooking and menu planning experience, preferably in senior living or hotel industry.
• Must have state Food Manager Certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Familiar with common kitchen appliances and equipment.
• Positive Criminal Background Screening required.
• If driving is required, valid license and acceptable MVR per Fleet Safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, supervise, and train DS staff; assign jobs and set priorities.
• Monitor time clock records; assist payroll submission with the Business Office Manager.
• Ensure equipment maintenance; maintain clean, safe work areas and follow sanitation procedures.
• Deliver engaging services to residents and community, driving referrals and occupancy.
• Ensure meals follow approved recipes and are prepared nutritiously and attractively.
