Job summary

Sur La Table is seeking a Culinary Lead in Natick to inspire customers and lead a high-performing culinary team. The role blends culinary expertise, teaching skills, and business acumen to drive sales and ensure an exceptional in-store experience.

You will recruit and develop staff, coach performance, maintain food safety standards, and deliver engaging classes and private events. A culinary degree or equivalent experience, plus 1–2 years kitchen management, are preferred.

Qualifications

• A degree in culinary arts is preferred; however, candidates with extensive culinary experience and demonstrated technical proficiency will be considered in lieu of formal education.
• 1-2 years of progressively responsible kitchen management experience.
• Valid Food Manager Certification.
• Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of employment.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Passion for community engagement and providing exceptional customer experiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and retail systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, recruit, train, and develop a high-performing culinary team to meet business needs.
• Provide coaching and feedback to elevate performance and maintain a positive team culture.
• Represent the brand by delivering memorable, educational experiences that foster customer loyalty.
• Ensure outstanding class experiences by following recipes and plans and managing quality and execution.
• Collaborate with store leadership to increase foot traffic and engagement through classes and events.
• Maintain compliance with food safety standards and store policies.
