Birchaven Village seeks a Dietary Department team leader to guide daily operations and ensure high-quality meals for residents and visitors. You will supervise staff, enforce safety and sanitation standards, and coordinate with management to maintain timely meal service.

You will also assist in menu planning, execute therapeutic diets, and uphold the organization's mission and resident rights. Strong communication and reliability are essential for this role.

Qualificações

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and speak in sentences.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and count.

Responsabilidades

• Provide dietary services to internal and external customers.
• Demonstrate leadership and accountability to ensure quality food service.
• Maintain the dietary department in a safe and sanitary manner; assist in daily cleaning duties.
• Prepare meals to meet therapeutic diets; ensure meals are presentable and palatable.
• Prepare food according to specialized recipes and diets and deliver to correct customers.
• Ensure supplies and food are available for next meal; manage food production lines to meet deadlines.
• Adhere to dress standards and attend mandatory trainings and meetings.
• Promote service excellence and resident satisfaction in line with the organization's mission.
• Comply with policies, procedures and practices to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain communications with management regarding all situations.
• Complete required net learning within the assigned time frame and stay responsive to emails.
• Be aware of safety hazards and report promptly.
• Assist management in leading team members and problem solving.
