Job summary

Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Villas in San Antonio, TX, invites aspiring culinarians to join a paid externship under our Executive Chef and culinary leadership. You will learn to execute techniques, uphold food quality, and rotate through outlets in a world-class resort.

The program requires enrollment in an accredited culinary program and offers hands-on training, exposure to high-end service, and meals in our colleague cafe.

Qualifications

• Externs must be enrolled in an accredited culinary program to receive academic credit.
• Knowledge of standard kitchen safety practices.
• Able to work in a fast-paced resort environment.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation: hot and cold dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
• Maintain mise en place and station readiness.
• Follow food safety guidelines and health department standards (ServSafe, EcoSure).
• Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to support service.
• Rotate through outlets to gain broad exposure.
