Job summary

Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa in San Antonio, TX is seeking an Entry Level Manager in Culinary to support the kitchen team and ensure consistent, high-quality dishes for guests. You will assist in coaching hourly cooks and oversee daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced resort setting.

Responsibilities include basic cost understanding, training others, and stepping in for the Sous Chef when needed.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of previous line experience preferred
• 1 year of previous lead or supervisor experience preferred
• Basic cost understanding
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work a flexible schedule

Responsibilities

• Produce a consistent, high-quality product meeting guests' needs in a timely manner.
• Assist in department training and be capable of assuming department responsibilities in the Sous Chef's absence.
• Monitor payroll costs & overtime as needed.

Summary

Schedule Requirements:Must be available to work a flexible schedule during the week, including weekends and holidays.

Role

Basic understanding of a kitchen operation within the hotel. Responsible for producing a consistent, quality product that meets and exceeds the guests' needs in a timely manner. Person has basic skills in department training and is capable of assuming department responsibilities in the absence of the Sous Chef. Skills and knowledge to include culinary education, basic cost control understanding, basic communication, leadership skills and computer skills. May assist in monitoring payroll costs & overtime. Responsibilities include the supervising of hourly cooks.
