Job summary

Manor Lake living seeks a Dining Supervisor to lead the culinary team, shape menus, and ensure outstanding dining for residents and families. You will manage kitchen operations, develop menus, control costs and supervise staff to uphold quality and nutrition across all meals.

The role requires supervisory experience, strong nutrition knowledge, and excellent communication with residents, families and care teams. Government regulations and safety standards are integral to daily duties.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent English reading, writing and verbal communication.
• Proven interpersonal skills when interacting with residents, families and staff.
• Prior supervisory experience in a dietary or culinary setting is required.
• Knowledge of dietetics, nutrition, food production systems and purchasing.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train and supervise culinary staff, including kitchen and dietary personnel.
• Plan and direct dietary activities ensuring regulatory compliance and budget adherence.
• Coordinate menus with activities and marketing functions.
• Control food costs and waste while maintaining high quality.
• Take monthly food inventory and maintain inventory controls.
• Inspect workstations to ensure sanitation per state regulations.
• Attend resident care plan meetings and adjust diets as ordered.
• Maintain dietary records and confidentiality of resident information.
• Prepare cost reports and monitor labor costs for the department.
• Assist in menu planning and scheduling to meet resident nutrition needs.
