Job summary

Senior Lifestyle is seeking a Dining Services Manager to oversee day-to-day dining operations at a continuing care community. You will manage purchasing, budgeting, standards compliance, and staff supervision to ensure safe, high-quality meals and resident satisfaction.

You will lead a team, ensure dietary needs are met, and uphold sanitation and safety policies, while fostering hospitality and teamwork across the dining team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of previous Food Service experience required.
• Management experience is not required but a plus.
• Serv Safe and/or other required local, county or state certifications.
• Ability to switch tasks quickly and often.
• Positive and professional attitude with clear direction in a respectful demeanor.
• Pride in the quality and presentation of food and cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas.
• Patience and ability to effectively communicate with many different personalities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day dining services operations at the community.
• Manage purchasing of all dining food and nonfood items and ensure 95% DSSI ordering compliance.
• Balance and maintain budgets for raw food and supplies.
• Utilize standard recipes for food production and ensure proper portions.
• Ensure food safety and proper temperatures per policy.
• Offer residents prescribed diets when applicable.
• Drive high satisfaction by providing hospitality and respectful service.
• Develop and implement operating and sanitation procedures for the department.
• Conduct Pre-meal Dining Stand-Up with service staff to review menus.
• Ensure compliance with health department regulations and inspections.
