Savant Senior Living is seeking a Culinary Director to lead day-to-day food and beverage operations, establish menus, manage budgets, and staff. The role requires senior-level culinary experience and a strong understanding of health codes for senior care dining.

You will collaborate with dieticians, ensure diverse dietary needs are met, and work with healthcare teams to integrate dining with resident care. This is a leadership-focused position in a senior living environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in food preparation.
• 5+ years of progressive management experience.
• 2-5 years of both front and back of the house experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Culinary school training preferred; post-secondary culinary education noted.
• Serv Safe Manager Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Knowledge of local health department, OSHA, and other regulatory guidance.

Responsibilities

• Design and regularly update menus that cater to diverse dietary needs and preferences.
• Collaborate with registered dieticians to ensure meals are balanced and meet health requirements.
• Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, receiving and storage; oversee department budget.
• Hire, train, and supervise culinary staff; conduct performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with USDA regulations and health codes; complete required reporting.
• Coordinate with healthcare and activities departments to integrate dietary needs with services.
