Job summary

Sagora Senior Living seeks a Culinary Director for one of its senior living communities to lead the culinary team, plan menus, and ensure exceptional taste and presentation for residents.

The role requires executive chef experience, strong cost control, and a focus on safety and hospitality. You will supervise staff, manage budgets, and partner with leadership to deliver high-quality dining for residents and families.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as an Executive Chef in a commercial kitchen.
• Associate's Degree in Hospitality Management preferred but not required.
• Current Food Safety Manager's permit or equivalent as regulated by state and local authorities.
• Must be able to use math to compute recipes and costing.
• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the culinary department, menu planning, supplies, overall food production, meal presentation, table service, budgeting, and safety in the kitchen.
• Hire, train, and supervise all Culinary associates while promoting retention and development.
• Provide oversight for food production, purchasing, cost control, and inventory.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation in compliance with regulations.
• Plate and present high-quality food with appealing presentation and portions.
• Promote hospitality and lead the department within the community leadership team.
