Eventide Prairie Commons in Grand Island, NE is seeking a Culinary Cook to work full time. This on-site role includes weekend and holiday rotations and involves preparing food in large quantities for living communities, meals on wheels, and catering.

The ideal candidate should have 2 years of quantity food production experience, strong English communication, and a Food Handler Permit. Employment offers health/dental/vision, 403(b) match, PTO, and vaccination compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Two years of experience in quantity food production in health care facility or similar competency level preferred.
• Prep/Cook Level Food Handler Permit required for Eventide campuses in Lancaster County; must meet vaccination requirements.

Responsabilités

• Prepares food in accordance with current federal, state and corporate standards to ensure high-quality service.
• Follows recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, and serving a variety of foods.
• Operates kitchen equipment to measure, mix, wash, peel, cut and trim ingredients for cooking.
• Assists with production planning by tasting, checking production, and estimating food requirements.
• Unloads, receives and stocks food and supplies from deliveries.
• Cleans and sanitizes major kitchen equipment daily and weekly.
