Job summary

Eventide Prairie Commons Grand Island, NE is seeking a Culinary Assistant / Server to work 2 weekdays 3pm-8pm, with 8 hour shifts every other weekend. This schedule includes weekend and holiday rotations.

The Culinary Assistant assists in food preparation, upholds cleaning and sanitary standards, and manages kitchen inventory and supplies. On-site role requiring strong customer service during resident interactions.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English including medical terminology related to the job.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and lift up to 32 pounds as required.
• Six months of sanitation/food preparation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food to order in the dining room and assists with serving meals to residents.
• Assists cook with large-quantity food preparation following safe handling procedures.
• Maintains food production records and ensures proper storage, dating, and rotation.
• Operates dish machine and keeps kitchen, storerooms, and storage areas clean and organized.
• Unloads, receives, and stocks food deliveries when needed.
