Job summary

Eventide is seeking a Culinary Cook to work PRN/as needed at our Lincoln (South Lincoln area) and Crete campuses. The role involves preparing food for multiple communities, training new cooks, and supporting meals on wheels and catering operations with weekend/holiday rotations.

The ideal candidate will have at least 18 years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, and two years of quantity food production experience in healthcare or similar settings; prep/cook level food handler permit and

Qualifications

• Must speak, read, and understand English for job duties and medical terminology.
• AGE REQUIREMENT: At least age 18.
• EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• EXPERIENCE: Two years of quantity food production in health care facility or similar.
• CREDENTIALS: Prep/Cook Level Food Handler Permit required for Eventide campuses in Lancaster County; vaccination requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food in large quantities per current standards and guidelines.
• Follows recipes and product directions for cooking and serving across units.
• Operates kitchen equipment to measure, mix, and prepare ingredients; trims meat, seafood, fruits and vegetables.
• Monitors production, checks requirements, and requisitions supplies and equipment.
• Assists with unloading and stocking deliveries; maintains cleanliness and sanitization of equipment.
