Job summary

Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino in Incline Village, NV seeks a Cook 1 to join our fast-paced kitchen team. You will deliver high-quality, thoughtfully prepared food and support breakfast, lunch, and dinner service with a focus on food safety and presentation.

You will prep, produce, and execute dishes, set up stations, and collaborate with culinary leadership to ensure smooth service. Flexibility to work varied shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to work all stations in a professional kitchen.
• Food Handlers Certification (or ability to obtain) required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute high-quality dishes according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation expectations.
• Set up and stock workstations with all necessary supplies.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen in accordance with health codes and Hyatt standards.
• Support other cooks and kitchen team members as needed.
• Communicate clearly with culinary and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service.
• Assist in training junior kitchen staff or temporary seasonal cooks.
