Job summary

Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino in Incline Village, NV is seeking a Cook 1 for our Culinary team. This full-time role supports breakfast, lunch and/or dinner service in a fast-paced kitchen, emphasizing safety, cleanliness and teamwork.

The Cook 1 will rotate through stations, assist with prep and production, and help train junior staff. Candidates should have strong culinary skills, be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and hold a Food Handlers Certification or obtain one.

Qualifications

• Ability to work all stations in a professional kitchen.
• Food Handlers Certification (or ability to obtain) required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute high-quality dishes according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation expectations
• Set up and stock workstations with all necessary supplies
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen in accordance with health codes and Hyatt standards
• Support other cooks and kitchen team members as needed
• Communicate clearly with culinary and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service
• Assist in training junior kitchen staff or temporary seasonal cooks
